Ingredients
Macaroni Pasta 1/2 cup (40 gms)
Cheesy White Sauce 1/3 of the recipe below
Peas 1/4 cup
Method of Preparation
1. Heat a small pot of water with some salt. When it comes to boil, add pasta. Give it a stir. Cook for about 10-12 min (as per package instructions). Drain and Keep aside.
2. While the paste is cooking, Prepare the sauce.
3. Steam peas in microwave for 2 min.
4. Mix the pasta, peas and sauce.
Cheesy White Sauce
Ingredients
Milk 1.5 cups
Cheddar Cheese 2 cups
Flour 2 tbsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
Pepper 1/4 tsp
Method of Preparation
1. Warm 1 cup of milk in medium heat.
2. Whisk the flour into the other 1/2 cup of milk.
3. Add this to the warm milk and whisk till the milk gets a creamy consistency.
4. Simmer the gas and slowly stir in the cheese till melted.
5. Season with salt and pepper.
This sauce can be prepared ahead and can be stored in the fridge for upto a week. If it is thickened a lot, while using the sauce, add a splash of milk and whisk it in low heat to get the creamy texture back.
